Orvakallu Rock Garden: A Magical Place – Amidst the Wonder of Nature:

Orvakallu is an adventure destination unlike any other. Andhra Pradesh Tourism has identified the grandeur of these formations and has set up a 1000 acre park with the fabulous igneous rock formations as the centre of attraction. And it is not too far away from town. Head out 20 kms from Kurnool and one come across this spot, right on National Highway 18. The adventure enthusiast can trek through the serpentine paths here and bask in nature’s unleashed splendor. These hiking paths have been developed by Andhra Pradesh Tourism to enhance the experience. The park is also a favorite film shooting locale.

Sunkesula Dam:

The Sunkesula Dam is in Kurnool District. It is under dam of Hospet, Karnataka state. This dam is banking on Tungabhadra River between Sunkesula and Rajoli villages. This river is dividing separate Rayalaseema and Telangana. The dam has been rebuild with a big and long renamed after Kotla Vijayabhaskar Reddy, a former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. A road crossed on the dam from Sunkesula to Rajoli. Sunkesula village was ruled by Vijayanagar Rajulu and Rajoli place was ruled by Hyderabad Nawabs.

This is live river. And dangerous floods flow in the rain seasons. This dam only for water reservoir and not for hydraulic elecgtricity power generates. Upper of the village near to kothakota an old and a new temples are the side of dam. These are Sri Ranga Swamy Temple and Sri Raghavendra Swamy Brundavanam. All most all are farmers in Sunkesula village. But differenct in Rajoli, there are farmers and weavers. This is famous for silk saris.
